Our Plantations

One of B & D's corporate goals is to be a
major player in all aspects of coffee,
from production to distribution.

Ethiopia is considered the "birthplace" of coffee
and its coffee is considered among
the best in the world (sold at a higher price
compared to other coffees with demand normally
exceeding supply).
During 2007 we acquired large
plantations in Ethiopia in order to plant
and grow our own coffee beans.

Babiya Farm in Jimma, Ethiopia

To-date, we have acquired 12,500 acres
(5,000 hectares) of prime coffee-growning
lands located in the renowed Jimma region in Ethiopia.
Under the guidance of Juan Romero, a Brazilian agronomical engineer, the first Ratoon (parcel of land) of 2,500 acres is currently being readied and planted with the first crop expected to be harvested in 2010.

B&D is currently negotiating additional farms in Ethiopia and in other important source countries across the world.
